Back to work

Yesterday marked the official end of my forced break from writing. I must admit that it felt really good not to have to worry about my writing. I didn't stress about finishing the novel.

Of course I did think about what I had written while I wasn't writing. Having that time when I was just thinking about it because I wanted I made several big decisions in the story that I may have never made if I hadn't forced myself to take a step back and just look at what was already there and not worry about what needed to come next.

When I started writing again I had a whole new out look on what I was writing and how it was going to get to the next point in the story. I even saw a path the end of the book. It may not be a clear path there will be things that I may have to clear and change before I get to the end of the first draft.

That's really what this is, a first draft. It will be changed and edited to the point that it may be nothing like it is right now when we finally get to the finished product. Now I just have to write until we get there.

Recap Monday (2)

Okay so it's Monday again which means that it's time to recap my weekend. Like I said before my weekend starts as soon as I finish school on Thursdays. In addition to that George comes home on Thursdays.

So to start it off Thursday I finished my school and then had to clean the house. When George got back to town and came over. That's really all my weekend consisted of was spending all that time with George until he had to go back to Ohio on Sunday.

I didn't do any writing this weekend since I decided I would take a break from writing until Tuesday. However taking a break has been the best thing for me this weekend. I have been almost completely stress free and I also made a critical direction for when it comes time to rewrite this book.

So that was my weekend and it was an amazing one at that.

Break

Okay so I have been killing myself over my writing and I have gotten pretty much nothing done at all. So I decided that instead of stressing over my lack of progress I am just going to relax and take a break from writing. One week, it seems like a long time but it's really not. Hopefully it will be enough time for me to have great idea on how to work my way to the end of this book.

During that time that I am not focusing all my attention on writing I'm going to be focusing on my school work and hopefully I'll get all the books that are sitting around my room gathering dust will be finally be read so that I can move on to other books and make room for the ones that I bought that will be here in a few weeks.

So that's my plan, no writing unless I get a great idea that will get me to the end of this book.

Recap Monday (1)

This weekend was a long weekend so of course our youth group planed a trip. But since the weekend is officially over for me I was thinking maybe, since I don't ever post anything on the weekend on Monday I could start doing something I will call recap Monday. During which I will post an over view of everything that happened over the weekend.

So this is my first Recap Monday:

My weekend officially starts on Thursdays now. So Thursday George came back to town again. Therefore my happy bubble has inflated all over again. I had a CPR class that night so as soon as it was over George came over and ate ice cream with Bree, Mariah and I. When Bree and Mariah left we went down stairs and watched Top Gun and Smokey and the Bandit.

Friday, George came over again at around 11 something. Then he spent the whole day here at the house until his parents called and asked us if we wanted to go to Pizza Hut with them for dinner, so we did, and then we came back here.

Saturday George came over and spent the day here again until that afternoon when we went to his house to have dinner with his family. His family is smaller then my family since he has no siblings (he is discovering the joy of having them here) so it was just us with his parents and his grandfather. It was allot of fun.

Also on Saturday George kissed me. My first kiss.

Then Sunday came along and I signed up for the highschool ski trip. Only three of us went:
but it was allot of fun. I didn't do much skiing but while I sat in the lodge trying to keep warm I was writing on the note pad in my phone.

Since it was a long weekend everyone had today off school so we came back home. We got back at 11:30 and within 15 minutes George was over again. We sat on the couch upstairs for half an hour before we went down stairs so that we could have more quiet.

We sat on the couch for an hour watching TV and just cuddling. He had to leave at 3 so he could go back to Ohio for school tomorrow so he kissed me again, long this time but just as sweet.

At 3 George kissed me goodbye and then left and we already have plans for him to come over on Thursday when he comes back.

So that was my weekend in a nut shell and it was a pretty amazing weekend.

Back to Writing

So I noticed today that my blog has sort of morphed from a blog about my writing to one about just me. So in an attempt to get the blog to a writing blog again I started writing again today.

For that last week I have done little to no writing but today I wrote. Granted it was hard since I was babysitting Alex most of today. However even with the distraction of a hyper and loud six year old I managed to get about 1 page worth of writing done... yeah i know it's not much but it's something!

Tomorrow is Thursday and George is coming back so I'm going to spend the time before I see him tomorrow writing since I have my first homeschool snow day tomorrow. I'm really excited about George coming home cuz that means that my happy bubble is coming back again.

Amyway this will be a very short post for today.

Happy Bubble

I know I haven't written anything in a long time but that is because I was enjoying my "happy bubble" as I call it. If you remember from my last post George finally told me he liked me on Tuesday. Then Wednesday I spent in a fog were all I did was smile and giggle when George would text me.

And then we get to Thursday. I used to think that Sunday was my favorite day of the week however I now know it's Thursday. Why? Because George comes back on Thursday's! So on Thursday George came back and we had planed on going bowling but we ended up going to a bible study and then coming back to my house where we played Wii and watched Inception. He didn't leave till around 1 the next morning.

Friday I had classes and started feeling sick(again) which meant that I couldn't go out to eat with George so I didn't get to see him at all that day. Which is sad for me.

Saturday George and I actually went bowling with some of his friends, Caleb and Josh. I must say those two are pretty awesome. We went to Dairy Queen after that(still with Josh and Caleb) before we went back to my house were we watched The Other Guys and stayed on the couch for hours just holding hands until midnight when he had to leave.

Today we had practice for the worship band which George and I are both in so we got to see each other there. Then we sat together in Church, in Alabama this wouldn't be a big deal but here... Yeah it's big and everyone takes notice. So of course we got teased about it for a while but that's okay I take it in and enjoy every second of it. Especially since he had to go back to Ohio today :(

Is it sad that I already miss him?

Anyway because of my dizzy haze I didn't get much writing done. However I do plan on writing this week.

Best Day Ever

Today has been amazing! Honestly this has to be the best day I have had in a long time and I'm not just talking about my writing which is part of it too I guess.

The main thing I am excited about is George. I've never really said(or rather typed) his name here before because I didn't know if he read my blog or not. I have posted a link to it before on my facebook so I didn't know if he clicked on it and has been reading.

However now I am okay with saying it George was the person Maraih was watching at New Years for me and when we went home she had said he had been watching me. At the time I of course didn't believe her now on the other hand.... George is also one of the people who has been pushing me in my writing and I really appreciate that.

My point in saying all of this is George told me today that he likes me and not just as a friend likes me but really likes me. Now we are in a relationship and I am truly happy.

I would say I wasn't going to sleep tonight but I woke up at 5:30 this morning and now have a headache but I can go to bed truly happy tonight and not fake happy like I did so often last year. All in all this year started off great and I hope it only gets better as the year goes on.

As for my writing I think I wrote about one page before George told me that he liked me and after that I was smiling to much to focus on anything other than breathing and replaying the conversation over and over again in my head.

Okay so now that I have written all about how happy I am and almost nothing about my writing I am going to go sleep off the headache now.

First post of the New Year

So this is the first post of the new year. I had a wonderful New Years eve and New Years day. I got to spend it with Bree and Mariah my two best friends here in Olney.

We really didn't have a plan for what we were going to do but we did know that we were going to exchange our Christmas gifts. Mariah gave me a charm bracelet that has friendship charms on it and Bree gave me a Barlow Girl CD. I am horrible at picking presents for people so my method is just to let them pic and I pay for it.

So we made a trip to Wal-mart. One thing about us is you should never let us alone in Wal-mart. We will find so awesome stuff to help feed the crazy in us. For example Mariah for her present picked silly string and we formed a plan for what she was going to do with it. And it was rather evil if I do say so myself.

Bree couldn't decide what she wanted so Mariah and I eventually just started dragging her from isle to isle until she picked the Camp Rock 2 soundtrack as she gift. I thought that this was a rather good gift since we have dance to the songs on that CD out side her church allot and freaked several people out at the same time.

However just before our Wal-mart we went to the Church. Granted there was only one reason that we went and that was because Mariah wanted to see who the people I am always talking about are and most of them were there last night. We mostly just stayed at one side of the table talked. Mariah made a point of keeping an eye on one person in particular, she told me later it was for me even though I never asked her to do that.

We had allot of fun that night. Oh and I now love Taco Bell and hate McDonald's mostly because McDonald's closed in our faces just as we got there but Taco Bell was nice and let us to there to eat.

Anyway I do some writing last night and I got past that moment that I was struggling with. It didn't turn out as big and great as I had hoped it would but that's what happens in a first draft. You set high expectations and then you hit WAY below all of them and then you revise and edit the book over and over and over again until it is perfect.

Now I just have to keep working until it is perfect.
